PMag Cooling Shroud
We created a shroud using a duct connector. Total cost around $3. We advice this method or similar shroud to make sure the PMag shaft is getting enough cooling.
Here are the steps in photos of how we prepared this shroud.
These channels around the inside are suitable to direct air around the Ignition shaft head.
We drilled two small holes at the end edges and use a lock wire to pull the two sides together just a little bit to get the bottom side sitting fully on the body, and we left a little play as engine vibration may break the piece connecting the blast tube to the shroud if it was tight to the shaft.
